DETROIT -- General motors could show a profit in 2010. GM Chief Financial Officer Chris Liddell announced today that the automaker has, quote, "a reasonable chance of being profitable this year." Liddell says an initial public offering of GM stock is possible before the end of the year as well, but that market conditions will impact that decision. An IPO would be an important step towards GM repaying the government's 50-billion-dollar investment in the company.
